Mrs. Maramba Powell is an award winning business, and social and humanitarian activist. 

Her professional background includes being a Business Consultant for 14 years plus where her specialization is in start-ups, executive management, product development, launches and management, coaching, marketing and brand development, company restructuring, strategic alliances, investor’s relations, negotiations and sales strategies. She specializes in the following industries: publishing (print), fashion, beauty, modeling and advertising. 

Her diverse professional background include working for a movie company in Hollywood, California as Assistant Vice President in its marketing/action toy figures division; she is a published journalist (newspaper, magazines, and online), and as an experienced entertainment journalist she landed her interviews with prominent people such as First Lady, Maria Shriver, Eunice Shriver, Shannah Moakler, Elle McPherson, Robin Wright Penn, Andy Garcia, Emile Hirsh, actress/supermodel, Inés Sastre (the face of Lancôme Cosmetics for the last 10 years), and the late Dr. Benjamin Spock (the legendary authority/author of baby book guidelines).  She had also worked for media planning and placement agencies as well as worked for a globally known beauty product company where she coordinated their print media advertisement from conceptualizations of the copy to placement of the ads on national beauty industry magazines.

The
University of Connecticut’s Center for Academic Programs acknowledged Mrs. Maramba’s work on the publication she founded, Renaissance Woman Magazine on November 3, 1995. She was one of the first six alumni given the distinguished TRIO ALUMNA AWARD for making positive contributions to the community and her profession. The Connecticut Federation of Business and Professional Women’s Club/Business Professional Women USA also honored Mrs. Maramba Powell as Woman of the Year 2000/New Millennium on October 21, 2000.

She has been listed in Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in the World, and Who’s Who in Women Executives. Mrs. Maramba Powell has also been featured in newspapers, radio and television (especially in the Northeast) for her work on her publication, Renaissance Woman Magazine; and in the early 90's, she was a pioneer in her understanding of the concept of “reality” based mediums before it developed to what reality based mediums are today.  She also taught people about green and organic living (recycling, organic products and food, etc.) before the green movement really got underway in the U.S.  And through her Self-Empowerment/Tough Love seminars and workshops, she has helped many women and men alike to deal with their self-image/self-esteem issues by giving them the tools needed to see their self in a better light that so they could make the necessary positive changes in their lifestyle.

She earned her Bachelors of Arts degree in English Literature with a mix concentration of studies at the University of Connecticut to include:  Journalism, Fashion & Art History and Graphic Design.

Mrs. Maramba Powell currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Global Amani Corporation based in Orange County, California, a not for profit company that foster freedom by providing food, shelter, medicine and literacy in parts of
Africa and other developing countries to include parts of the U.S.  

She's one of the Business/Media Consultants for MSquared Business Consulting (domestic & international clients).  Mrs. Maramba Powell  is also a member of the Society of Industry Leaders (SIL), the premier global network of Industry Professionals (a part of Standard & Poor's Vista Research, Inc., a division of McGraw-Hills Companies) as a Media/Publishing Consultant.  She is also a member of Ladies Who Launch, which is made up of network of women entrepreneurs.
