Word of Advice: To get quality work you will need to hire a professional. A professional consultant is usually at the rate of $75 an hour on up. You are paying for experience and education to get your project where it needs to be for success to happen. An attorney charges around $200 an hour on up for their services to give you advice and represent you to get results. This is what professional consultants do for you (gives you sound and professional advice to strive for success).
 
You may see ads for a consultant to create your business plan for around $500-$1,000, and that is what you will get as a finished project; a business plan worth only $500- $1,000. You only get one shot with investors and banks, and they will not Red mark your Business Plan till you get it right. If a consultant is working on your Business Plan for $10 hour for eight hours a day, five days a week, then for one month their rate of compensation is only $1,600. Quality consultants do not work for $10 hour. We often get many of these clients who paid those low rates, and now have to start over again.

You may also see some ads where those who created business plans are selling them for a discount price. These are either some quick put together plans found on the internet, or something someone created and the market research and current forecasted financials are outdated. Also you can't purchase and use another persons business plan and use it for investing. Investors and banks are a small circle, and they can usually recognize a business plan that came across there desk. You will not get a second chance with these people if they find out you are using someone else's work.
 
If you go with our consultants or others; at least you now will know the rate you should be paying for quality. This is why we let our potential clients know that a quality business plan should start our around $5,000. A quality business plan should have a market research that will impress the investor or bank. The market research should take around two months or more depending on the business plan. Make sure that who ever you decide to work with that they explain how they came up with their forecasted financials and market research, so you can explain this to your potential investor or bank with confidence.

You can't expect to pay a low amount for a quality business plan, and be asking for thousands or even millions from an investor or bank.

Consultants are not responsible for the success of your business; unless you hire them on an interim or retainer basis to implement your company's business plan and run your company. Consultants are there to guide and add on to your successes, and to keeping your business moving toward success.
 
Please be careful of those who offer prices for a very low cost. Most of them work off template programs, which banks and investors do not care for.
